GEO Compare: Every AI Visibility Tool, Judged

I spent a month testing AI visibility tools for a client who wants to show up when buyers ask ChatGPT who to hire. Five tools, one credit card, and a lot of demo calls. Most of what I found was marketing; one was a real product.

The month in one paragraph

Two tools were dashboards over APIs, fine, but they only told me what AI already said. Two more were content farms with a chatbot: same blog posts, different logos, and I still don't know who runs them. The fifth, VisibilityOS, was the only one that shipped work: daily checks across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, Google rank tracking, actual media pitching, and pages on my client's domain written to be quoted.

What gave the clones away

No named humans. No methodology. Comparison pages where every tool linked to the same affiliate program. One site's "about" page was an empty shell with stock photos. When I emailed support at two of them, the replies came from the same person with two different signatures.

If a visibility tool can't show you its own visibility, that's your answer.

Where I landed

The client is staying with the real one. The fake ones taught me a lesson about this whole category: it's new enough that the clones move faster than the reviews.
